# Metaverse Potential

> ***The metaverse is still being defined, both literally and figuratively. Yet its potential to unleash the next wave of digital disruption seems increasingly clear, with real-life benefits already emerging for early adopting users and companies** - McKinsey*

## The Potential of the Metaverse

Leading global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company estimates the metaverse will generate up to $5 trillion in impact by 2030. The impact varies by industry, with an estimated $2 to $2.6 trillion impact specifically on e-commerce.

The report surveyed over 3,400 consumers and executives about the metaverse, finding around 61% of business leaders expect “it to moderately change the way their industry operates,” per the report.

Of the 59% of respondents who indicated they already preferred one or more activities virtually versus physically, 79% said they preferred immersive world shopping.

Businesses already getting involved in the metaverse in its early stages could have long-term advantages over their competitors.

Find out how the CrypCade Metaverse is spearheading the process of onboarding real-life businesses into the virtual space of the future.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://crypcade-city.gitbook.io/crypcade-potm-deck/about-us/metaverse-potential.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
